In Vietnam, the electric current is 220 volts and plugs are identical to the French taken before the European standardization, except in the South where we find in the rooms of both the American and European plugs taken. For safety, toujour provide an adapter for the trip.
In the villages along the rivers, the current is supplied by a multitude of Microgenerators so the current is not very strong.
Electricity is provided in towns and in areas of hill tribes by some hydro plants, but they are in short supply and it still causes regular power cuts. Provide a flashlight in case.
We also see a motor generator in towns and villages for times of power outages.
And please do not forget to turn off the TV in the bedroom or any other electrical equipment before going out. The lack of reliability of the system can have serious consequences when power is restored, like the implosion of the TV.
